Trilliant’s heat/cool metering partnership with Kamstrup aims to support metering requirements across Canada more efficiently and cost-effectively.

Kamstrup’s Multical heat/cool meters, which are approved by Measurement Canada, are interoperable with Trilliant’s AMI and smart buildings solutions.

The companies’ combined technologies and expertise should enable Trilliant to provide a future-proof, robust multi-commodity submetering platform, with benefits also including priority access to shipments.

“This new agreement with Kamstrup is a significant milestone that will enable us to quickly address the heat/cool metering requirements of our customers and partners in Canada,” said Steven Lupo, Managing Director of Canada and the US at Trilliant.

“We’ve valued our partnership with Kamstrup over the years and this next step enables us to better serve and support the market, especially as we continue to focus on our innovative smart building solutions.”

Heat/cool meters play an essential role in centralised heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems commonly deployed in multi-tenant buildings.

As a key component of a submetering solution, they then enable similar benefits to a standard metering system, i.e. including accurate measurement and billing and encouraging more efficient use of energy, as well as alerting building managers to potential system operational issues.

Arpit Sharma, Head of Sales Operations, Heat/Cooling at Kamstrup, adds the company is
pleased to form this partnership to extend its reach in Canada.

“We look forward to working more closely with [Trilliant] to enable greater efficiencies for Canadians.”
