LEWA raises LDH Boxer pump output

LEWA has increased LDH Boxer pump hydraulic power by 20%. The ecoflow range upgrade enables higher discharge pressure or greater flow from the same pump frame for chemical, energy, and process applications.

LEWA GmbH has increased the performance of its LEWA ecoflow LDH Boxer process pump by 20%, raising the hydraulic power available from the pump without requiring operators to resize equipment.

The upgraded LDHB pump increases hydraulic power from 38 kW to 46 kW. At a flow rate of 2,200 l/h, maximum discharge pressure rises from 622 bar to 746 bar. At 75 bar, flow capacity increases from 18,000 l/h to 21,600 l/h.

The higher output gives operators a route to increased pressure or flow from the same pump platform, supporting process changes where installed equipment envelopes, skid layouts, and system architecture may already be fixed. It also extends the performance available from LEWA’s ecoflow range into higher-capacity duties.

Nicoline Walther, Product Manager for the LEWA ecoflow product range, said: “Optimising productivity in processing applications is a constant challenge. The boxer pump design is already very efficient, as one drive unit moves two pump heads. With the increase in performance, the LDHB provides twice as much hydraulic power compared to a single pump.”

The LDHB upgrade follows a 15% performance increase to the smaller LDG pump last year. Its boxer arrangement uses one drive unit to move two pump heads, combining compact design with higher hydraulic output for demanding process applications.

The LDHB forms part of LEWA’s modular ecoflow range, which includes diaphragm and packed plunger metering pumps with multiple drive sizes, pump heads, materials, and valve options. That configurability allows pumps to be specified for aggressive, abrasive, or toxic fluids across energy, chemical, and wider process industry applications.

The ecoflow range is built around leak tightness, operational safety, and metering accuracy, including high-pressure applications. Flow rate can be adjusted through stroke length and speed, providing a metering range of 1:100 for reproducible dosing and controlled process fluid transfer.

Walther added: “The upgraded LDH Boxer pump is a further step in expanding the performance envelope of our ecoflow range, but achieving excellence is about more than great technology. We support our customers from planning and commissioning to maintenance, repair and upgrading to ensure that our metering and process pumps consistently meet the application’s requirements and deliver the desired outcomes as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible.”

The upgraded LDHB is supported by LEWA’s global spare parts and service network for lifecycle support, maintenance, repair, and future upgrades. More information is available through the company’s LEWA ecoflow process pump page.
