Ulma Packaging has recently launched its latest automatic traysealer – the TSA 400 – to seamlessly integrate into low-to-medium production environments.

This state-of-the-art traysealing machine is engineered for high production performance, energy efficiency and ease of operation, offering a comprehensive solution to meet diverse packaging requirements.

The TSA 400 delivers remarkable versatility, supporting various sealing techniques, including modified atmosphere packaging (MAP), vacuum and skin applications. It can seal in one row (single-line) or two rows (double-line), accommodating a wide range of tray and film materials with precision. Hygienic design is a key feature: an IP65 protection rating, easy-to-clean surfaces and tool-free belt disassembly, ensuring compliance with strict hygiene standards essential for food and sensitive packaging environments.

Robust construction paired with advanced sealing force mechanisms enables reliable packaging integrity. The machine is built to reduce maintenance costs through its streamlined design and optional centralised lubrication system, ensuring simple cleaning and easy-to-use operation. Precision is achieved via advanced servomotor technology for die lifting and tray positioning. This system supports easy format change and ensures optimal output rates of up to 23 cycles per minute.

Additionally, the TSA 400 features a 7-inch Industry 4.0-ready touchscreen control panel with multi-level access and functional features such as integrated maintenance alerts, and ethernet connectivity for smooth system integration and data management. The design reduces downtime while maximising efficiency across production lines.

Customisation options for the TSA 400 include tray denesters, a variety of infeed conveyors, metal detectors, and coding and printing systems, offering adaptability for diverse production needs.

James Couldwell, managing director of Ulma Packaging UK, said: “The TSA 400 represents our commitment to delivering advanced packaging solutions that improve production efficiency and prioritise product integrity and ease of use.

“We’re excited to introduce this innovative technology to help our customers meet the highest standards of quality and operational excellence.”
