pladis is launching cookie additions to its best-selling McVitie’s Hobnobs range – McVitie’s Hobnobs Oaty Cookies Milk Chocolate Flavour Chips and McVitie’s Hobnobs Oaty Cookies Dark Chocolate Flavour Chips.

Eleonore de Saint Perier, brand manager, pladis UK&I says pladis’ decision was prompted by the snacking company setting “a clear gap in the cookies market for a differentiated eating experience”.

“Hobnobs is perfectly placed to deliver this through its brand equity and delicious oats – it’s a much loved, fun and trusted brand, with great appeal to under-35s (Nielsen NIQ 01.08.2024 / Kantar 04.08.2024).

“In consumer testing, it was the Hobnobs Cookies’ home-made rustic appearance, with the ‘Hob-nobbly’ texture of wholemeal oats that appealed, as well the fact that they are different to anything else on the market.”
