Leguan Lifts will launch fully electric versions of its All-Terrain spider lift range at APEX 2026, bringing battery-electric power to the 170, 195, 225, and 265 models.
The Finnish manufacturer is introducing electrification as a powertrain option within the existing range rather than creating a separate product family. Customers will be able to choose diesel or electric drive while keeping the same spider lift platform, user interface, and fleet design across the All-Terrain series.
The electric models use the Avant Power OptiTemp battery, designed and manufactured in Finland to match Leguan’s machine requirements. Its liquid-immersion thermal management system keeps the battery pack within an optimal operating range, supporting stable performance across changing site and weather conditions.
Leguan said the OptiTemp-powered lifts are designed to deliver a full working day on a single charge, with boom and transition speeds equivalent to diesel models. Depending on duty cycle and application, the company said the machines can also support multi-day work without recharging.
“We did not want to cut corners with the electrification. The market is switching rapidly towards silent and emission-free machinery, and therefore this electrification project has been one of the most important project in our company’s history,” said Jori Mylläri, VP of Sales & Marketing at Leguan Lifts.
Powered access manufacturers have often approached electrification through hybrid designs that combine combustion engines with smaller battery packs. Leguan’s route is a fully electric architecture intended to preserve runtime and movement speed, avoiding the short-duration battery mode that can limit machine utilisation on larger or more demanding jobs.
Silent, local-emission-free access equipment is becoming more attractive on urban sites, indoor projects, occupied facilities, and noise-sensitive locations. Those advantages only hold their value when lifting performance, tracking speed, operating range, and charging flexibility remain close to conventional diesel machines.
The electrified All-Terrain series will include built-in IoT connectivity, standard charge-anywhere capability, and the same operating layout as diesel versions. Shared controls and machine behaviour reduce training friction, while a common fleet architecture makes mixed diesel-electric deployment easier to manage.
Leguan will hold the global launch on 2 June 2026 during the APEX exhibition in Maastricht, the Netherlands. The event runs from 2 to 4 June and focuses on aerial platforms, access equipment, and rental technology. Early access to technical details and the launch livestream is available through Leguan Electric.
