Aurrigo International is opening a new UK hub facility at Power Park in Coventry, giving the autonomous vehicle specialist a larger base for engineering, manufacturing, and test activity as it scales production.
The new site measures 130,615 sq ft, more than three times the size of the company’s current facility. Aurrigo said it will serve as its UK hub for advanced engineering, autonomous vehicle development, high-volume manufacturing, and wider automotive operations.
The expansion follows the company’s £14.1 million fundraise last year and supports delivery of its recently announced £6.28 million contract with Ultra Global for 25 autonomous guided vehicles. Aurrigo said the facility could manufacture more than 500 autonomous vehicles a year at full capacity, depending on customer demand.
Professor David Keene MBE, Chief Executive Officer of Aurrigo International plc, said: “This new Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Centre marks an important milestone for our business and our unwavering commitment to the UK, delivering investment in autonomous technology.”
The site has been secured with turnkey infrastructure already in place, including IT systems, fitted offices, EV charging, and manufacturing facilities, allowing the company to accelerate operational ramp-up. It also provides space for an on-site autonomous vehicle test track, which Aurrigo said will support validation, customer demonstrations, and faster development cycles.
The Coventry hub will also support the company’s international hub and licensing programme, which is intended to extend commercial deployment through local partners in Europe, the Middle East, South East Asia, and the United States. Aurrigo said the UK site will contribute intellectual property, technical expertise, and operating knowhow to those partnerships.
The company has already deployed elements of its autonomous portfolio across 12 airports globally, including Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky, Schiphol, Zurich, and Teesside. Further company information is available via Aurrigo’s investor hub.
