Yunex Traffic has secured a new UK headquarters at Aviation Business Park in Bournemouth, taking a lease of up to 20 years on a 160,000 sq ft facility near Bournemouth Airport. The move will relocate the company from its former Siemens site in Poole and bring office, engineering, manufacturing, and logistics operations together on one site.
The property at 1 Viscount Road includes a 120,000 sq ft warehouse with mezzanine floors and a further 39,000 sq ft of office accommodation. The site also includes a secure yard, seven level access docks, and more than 300 parking spaces. Yunex Traffic says almost 500 colleagues are expected to move to the new location.
The site will serve as the company’s new UK base as it continues to supply intelligent traffic and mobility systems for local authorities, regional cities, and transport businesses. In addition to office space, the facility is intended to support manufacturing, product handling, and distribution requirements, giving the company a larger footprint for operations and future growth.
Wilke Reints, managing director of Yunex Traffic UK, said: “We’re thrilled to have been able to secure a new site for our headquarters in the south. This is an important move for our business as our company continues to grow and strengthens our position as leaders in the intelligent traffic and mobility industry.”
Yunex Traffic exports to more than 65 countries, and the new facility gives the company a larger South Coast base for engineering, operations, and staff accommodation. The business park is already home to companies including Honeywell, Hobbycraft, Curtiss-Wright, and Beyond Retail Group.
Colliers advised Yunex Traffic on the acquisition, with its Project & Building Consultancy team handling pre-acquisition due diligence and landlord works. Further details are available via Yunex Traffic’s site announcement.
