Dawn Foods launches limited edition salted caramel frosting

The latest product from Dawn Foods UK and Ireland is a limited edition frosting in Salted Caramel, the flavour that the company says, ‘just keeps on giving’.

With its appealing sweet-salty combination, Salted Caramel has been one of the strongest flavour trends over the last five years according to Mintel and it continues to dominate across bakery, confectionery, desserts and ice creams. According to Dawn, consumers cannot seem to get enough of it.

Dawn’s brand-new Salted Caramel Frosting is indulgent and creamy with a good balance of sweet and salty flavours. Ready-to-use, the new frosting has a fluffy texture but holds its form and shape, making it easy to spread, layer or pipe onto large celebration cakes, cupcakes or fill doughnuts, for example.

The new launch follows on from Dawn’s Peach Melba Frosting in summer 2024, following by Black Forest and Spiced Gingerbread flavoured frostings for Autumn and Winter respectively. Dawn says that the limited-edition approach not only helps bakers to easily refresh their ranges but to trial new flavours and formats with customers without buying in lots of new ingredients or developing new recipes.
