The Endress+Hauser Group mourns the loss of Dr Dirk Mörmann (1973–2025), managing director of the competence center for level and pressure measurement technology.

The employees, management and shareholder family of the Endress+Hauser Group are mourning the loss of Dr Dirk Mörmann.

The managing director of the competence centre for level and pressure measurement technology, based in Maulburg in Germany, was killed in a tragic car accident. The 51-year-old was on his way back from a business meeting when the accident occurred on Tuesday 25 March 2025.

“We are all deeply shocked and saddened by the news,” said Dr Peter Selders, CEO of the Group. “Our thoughts at this moment are with his wife, his three children and all his relatives.” Selders paid tribute to the deceased as being open-minded and close to people. “Dr Mörmann left a lasting impression on us in a short space of time, particularly through his warm-hearted personality. We will miss him.”

Dr Mörmann had a doctorate in physics. After holding various positions at other industrial measurement technology companies, he joined Endress+Hauser Level+Pressure as director of technology in 2022 and took over as head of the competence center at the beginning of 2024.

Until further notice, the Endress+Hauser Level+Pressure management team will run the business and ensure continuity and stability in this situation.
