Amir Orad appointed as Kraken CEO

Octopus Energy Group has appointed Amir Orad as the dedicated CEO for Kraken, an energy supply platform operating across Europe, the UK, Japan, US, New Zealand and Australia.
Kraken forms part of Octopus Energy Group and is contracted to serve 54 million energy accounts globally through licence agreements with energy companies.
Prior to his appointment with Kraken, Amir Orad garnered over 25 years of experience in scaling global technology businesses, most recently serving as the CEO of New York City-based Sisense, a software company embedding Cloud AI and Analytics, where he grew the company 17x.
Said the incoming Kraken CEO in a release: “Very few companies in the world serve a true purpose of making it a better place. Even fewer do that at scale and can impact hundreds of millions of people.

Prior to his time with Sisense, Orad served as CEO of Nice Actimize, based in New Jersey, which provided enterprise software to the world’s largest banks and Fortune 500 companies, monitoring trillions of dollars annually.
Orad has also served as technical co-founder and EVP of Cyota, a cyber analytics company, and received his MBA from Columbia University, has a B.Sc in Computer Science and is credited as an inventor on several security and analytics related patents.
