Transition Automation, Inc. (TA) will exhibit a new Paste Retainer option in booth 2947 at the SMTA International 2025, taking place from Oct. 21-23, 2025, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL. The adaptation was engineered to provide more flexibility to users of Permalex Universal Holder and Blade Assemblies. This sliding paste retainer with option code -SPR sits in the front of the squeegee. Users with a certain length of squeegee assembly now can use that pair of squeegees for smaller print jobs without needing to order smaller holders. Typically, it is better to have holder and blade assemblies that match the size of the print width; however, in some cases this adjustable paste retainer may be more efficient. The product is available as an option and is retrofit on Transition Automation’s Soft-Touch Articulating paste retainers.

Transition Automation, Inc. was founded in 1989 and is the first company to develop polymer-infused metal squeegees for SMT, when all SMT printers at the time used Polyurethane blades. Transition Automation remains the only company with a singular focus on high-performance metal squeegee blades and holder systems. Permalex brand squeegees are used by many top-tier electronics manufacturers, especially those companies who supply to high-value, mission-critical end-markets such as Space and Satellite, Automotive, Avionics and Industrial Controls. Transition Automation, Inc. is located at 5 Trader Circle, Building D, Tyngsboro, Ma 01879 USA; Phone: 978-649-2400; E-mail: sales@transitionautomation.com; Web: www.metalsqueegees.com.
