South London based husband and wife team, MOMO Kombucha has launched Watermelon Kombucha (RRP £4.50 per 330ml glass bottle) with Natoora.

MOMO’s unfiltered kombucha blends perfectly with Sentinel Watermelon, resulting in a burst of sweet, fruity flavour perfectly balanced by the classic zingy tones of Kombucha. The Sentinel Watermelon is grown by Oscar Zerbinati, in Mantua, Northern Italy, an area renowned for its melon growing; the Zerbinati family is one of the most celebrated growers in the region. The watermelons are grown slowly, reaching up to 18kg, Oscar grows one melon per plant to ensure the plant puts all its energy into the one fruit; he carefully restricts their water intake, forcing them to cling to the nutrients in the mineral rich clay soils, resulting in dense, rich flesh.

MOMO said this may be the lightest, most refreshing kombucha it has ever made, and really highlights both the quality of the produce and kombucha as a medium. Zerbinati’s Watermelon is rich, with juicy, sweet flesh making the kombucha ideal for summer sipping; reach for this one at a picnic, BBQ, or after a long, hot tube journey.

Founder of MOMO Kombucha, Josh Puddle says of the collaboration: “We are thrilled to be partnering with Natoora for the third year running on our Zerbinati’s Watermelon Kombucha. The expertly grown watermelons are incredibly sweet and juicy, pairing beautifully with our tangy kombucha to create a refreshing and delicious flavour that’s become a much-anticipated fan favourite each summer. We’re also proud to support Natoora’s Farm Fund through this partnership, a fantastic organisation supporting young farmers committed to agroecological methods.”
