Plastic Omnium – an ISELED Alliance member – wins an Innovation Award at CES 2024 in the “In-Vehicle Entertainment” category for its dynamic interior dashboard projection system.

The dynamic projection system illuminates the entire dashboard with colors and patterns to match the mood chosen by the driver. Already integrated into the interior of the new MINI Cooper Electric, it creates an immersive driving experience including lights, animations and projections.

The light beam in the module is generated by 8 high Power ISELED RGB LEDs from Dominant Opto Technologies a provider of LEDs to the Automotive market. The high power RGB LED has a luminance of 60 lumen, and it uses 3 smart ISELED RGB LED controllers from Inova Semiconductors. Both, Dominant and Inova are also members of the ISELED Alliance.

This awarded projection system is a result of collaboration of several ISELED Alliance members and show the power of the ECO System, each contributing with its specific technology and expertise to the development of such an advanced product. Visioners of Plastic Omnium, Lightworks, Dominant and Inova worked close with the Design & Development Team of the OEM together and developed it to a volume product.
