Kurtz Ersa Inc., a leading supplier of electronics production equipment, is pleased to announce two upcoming in-depth training sessions for its advanced VERSAFLOW 3 selective soldering system. The courses—Level II Maintenance Training and Level II Application Training—will take place at Kurtz Ersa’s Plymouth, Wisconsin facility from August 25–29, 2025.
These hands-on training sessions are designed to help current users of the VERSAFLOW 3 maximize system performance, reduce downtime, and achieve the highest possible quality and throughput. Each course is limited to 10 participants to ensure personalized instruction and interactive learning.
The Level II Maintenance Training Course, scheduled for August 25–27, is ideal for maintenance technicians and engineers seeking to develop a deeper understanding of the VERSAFLOW 3 platform. The training begins at 1:00 PM on August 25 and concludes at noon on August 27. Attendees will explore the machine’s layout, software capabilities, and all major components through both classroom instruction and hands-on experience. Key areas of focus include nitrogen and pneumatic systems, preventative maintenance techniques, electrical schematics and diagnostics, calibration procedures, and module-specific maintenance for flux, preheat, and solder systems. Upon successful completion, each participant will receive a certificate.
The Level II Application Training Course, taking place from August 27–29, is geared toward process engineers and operators who want to refine their programming skills and process control knowledge. The course starts at 1:00 PM on August 27 and concludes at noon on August 29. This session will give attendees a deep dive into the VERSAFLOW 3’s process parameters and capabilities, including how to adapt soldering processes for lead-free alloys. Participants will also receive instruction in using Ersa CAD 3 offline programming software to reduce programming time. Additional topics include proper temperature profiling, optimizing flux, preheat, and solder processes for various applications, understanding SMT clearance and component design limitations, and applying programming strategies that reduce cycle time and defects. Students who complete the training will also receive a certificate.
Class sizes are limited to ensure a hands-on, interactive learning experience. Training will be held at Kurtz Ersa Inc., located at 1779 Pilgrim Road, Plymouth, WI 53073.
