With more than 20 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, Brian brings a practical, customer-focused perspective to the board. His background spans business development, operations, and manufacturing strategy, with a deep understanding of high-mix, high-reliability EMS environments. At HyRel, Brian helps OEMs solve real-world challenges through automation, process refinement, and tailored manufacturing solutions.

Brian’s candidacy reflects his hands-on leadership style and his commitment to strengthening collaboration across the electronics industry. He is also a familiar face within SMTA chapters and events, known for his down-to-earth approach and dedication to advancing the manufacturing community.

“SMTA has been an important part of my career and our industry’s progress,” said Watson. “If elected, I’d be honored to serve as a voice for members—especially those navigating the fast-paced realities of manufacturing. I’m passionate about building bridges between people, sharing ideas that move us forward, and creating value at every level of the organization.”

Voting for the SMTA Board of Directors is open through August 15, 2025. All SMTA members are encouraged to participate and help shape the future of the organization.
