Hexagon launches PC-DMIS FUSION platform

Hexagon has launched PC-DMIS FUSION for real-time metrology analytics workflows. The add-on gives manufacturers interactive reporting, SPC analysis, alerts, and quality dashboards from PC-DMIS measurement data.

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence has launched PC-DMIS FUSION, a reporting and analytics platform designed to provide PC-DMIS users with real-time metrology information, visualisation, insights, and SPC analysis.

The product is aimed at manufacturers seeking faster quality decisions from inspection data already being generated on the shop floor. Integrated with PC-DMIS metrology software, FUSION presents measurement data from a range of devices, moving inspection reporting towards continuous monitoring and more automated quality workflows.

Greg Holdsworth, Senior Portfolio Manager at Hexagon, said: “Modern manufacturers need to know if they’re making good parts. PC-DMIS FUSION modernises analytics and reporting with a simple, intuitive interface, interactive reporting, and fast access to historical data.”

FUSION automatically synchronises measurement data so reports and visualisations can be accessed quickly. Hexagon says the interface supports both shop-floor reviews and deeper SPC analysis, with persona-based views intended to give different users the right level of detail without adding complexity to the inspection process.

The system allows users to automate repetitive reporting tasks, monitor part quality continuously, and receive alarms when deviations occur. Its analysis tools include process reporting and Cp/Cpk calculations, supporting earlier intervention when measurement trends begin to drift.

“Seamlessly integrated with PC-DMIS, it delivers real-time measurement information, visualisation, and SPC analysis, all to increase productivity and support data-driven decisions,” Holdsworth said.

PC-DMIS FUSION also forms part of Hexagon’s wider connected metrology strategy. Paired with MAESTRO, Hexagon’s all-digital, fully connected CMM and digitally-native IIoT device, FUSION can support an automated metrology ecosystem in which measurement data is streamed, analysed, reported, and linked back to 3D models.

The connection supports model-based manufacturing, virtual metrology, and closed-loop quality control. Inspection has long produced valuable data, but much of it still remains locked in reports, spreadsheets, or isolated quality stations. FUSION is designed to make that data visible while parts are still moving through production.

The platform is now available through local Hexagon sales teams and authorised resellers, with product information available on the PC-DMIS FUSION page.

Manufacturers already using PC-DMIS can add analytics and alerting without rebuilding the inspection environment from scratch. The strongest gains will come where real-time measurement data cuts scrap, rework, and delayed corrective action before defects spread across a batch.
