East West Manufacturing has appointed Ryan Flynn as chief executive officer, with co-founder Scott Ellyson moving into the role of chairman as the Atlanta-based integrated manufacturing solutions company enters its next phase of growth.
Flynn will assume the CEO role by June 15, 2026. Ellyson will retain a significant ownership stake in the business and work with Flynn through the transition, keeping founding leadership close to the company while day-to-day executive responsibility moves to an industrial operator with experience across global manufacturing markets.
East West designs and manufactures complex electronic and electro-mechanical products, combining engineering, production, and supply chain services for customers across industrial, medical, networking, automation, robotics, energy, test and measurement, and AI infrastructure markets. Its operating model spans design support, prototyping, electronics manufacturing, assembly, supply chain management, and lifecycle services.
Flynn brings more than 25 years of experience running industrial and manufacturing businesses across Asia, Europe, and North America. He most recently served as Regional Managing Director, North America for The Weir Group, following senior roles at ITT Inc. and Konecranes PLC.
“We are delighted to welcome Ryan Flynn as our new CEO to drive this next chapter in East West’s growth and transformation as a leading IMS company. Ryan brings a wealth of leadership and business transformation experience with a relentless focus on innovation and customer excellence,” said Scott Ellyson, co-founder and outgoing CEO of East West Manufacturing. “I am confident Ryan will build on our strong culture and people, engineering-first business model, and global manufacturing footprint advancing the company’s strategic vision.”
The leadership change places operational alignment, customer programme execution, and international manufacturing capacity at the centre of East West’s next chapter. Contract manufacturers and integrated manufacturing providers are being pushed to support more complex product builds while helping customers manage sourcing risk, regional production choices, engineering changes, and cost discipline across distributed supply chains.
Flynn’s earlier roles point directly into that operating environment. At ITT, he was President of the Connect & Control Technologies Division, while at Konecranes he served as Executive Vice President of the Equipment Division. Both businesses operate in global industrial markets where product reliability, engineered systems, service performance, and supply chain execution carry direct commercial weight.
“This is an exciting time to join East West and lead an organization that is known for solving complex engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain challenges,” said Flynn. “East West’s commitment to making a difference for its people and customers are foundational pillars I look forward to embracing and building upon as we accelerate the next chapter of growth.”
Flynn holds an MBA from Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of South Africa. Further information is available through East West’s leadership page.
