Cawston Press has announced the newest addition to its range of school approved Fruit Waters, Sunshine Orange.

The new flavour is an impressive blend of 45% not-from-concentrate fruit juice shaken with still water, and made with natural ingredients. Cawston Press’ Sunshine Orange Fruit Water will be first to market in Tesco from March 11th (3x200ml), and will also be available to speciality stores, cafés, restaurants and bars via selected wholesalers (18x200ml).

Sunshine Orange joins Apple & Summer Berries, Apple & Pear, Apple & Mango and Cloudy Apple to create a flavour range to suit every child. The new flavour has also been meticulously crafted to meet the high standards of school approval and provides a child-friendly vegan option for lunch boxes, picnics and family gatherings.

Consumers are increasingly concerned about the amount of sugar and sweeteners in fizzy drinks, with 63% of adults preferring their drinks to be made with more natural ingredients. As with all Cawston Press juices, Sunshine Orange is free from artificial sweeteners, colours or preservatives and no added sugars – No Jiggery Pokery. Last year, the World Health Organization (WHO) warned people against the use of non-sugar sweeteners, and recommended consuming food with naturally occurring sugars such as fruit, or unsweetened food and beverages. The sweetness of Cawston Press’ Sunshine Orange Fruit Water comes solely from the pure juices of the pressed fruit, nothing else.

Milly Tuck, senior brand manager at Cawston Press notes orange is the biggest flavour camp for juice and juice drinks, making up over 40% of UK sales.

“However, there has been a lack of innovation in the kids flavour space for drinks free from added sugar, sweeteners and preservatives, which is where Cawston Press is able to provide a high-quality drink priding itself on being made with very few simple, natural ingredients,” Tuck adds.

The Cawston Press Fruit Waters are made with SIG packaging, comprising mainly of FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) paper from renewable sources, which is certified Carbon Neutral.
