Eqonic and Barton Knight target battery deployment

Eqonic and Barton Knight will collaborate on UK battery deployment. The agreement combines energy storage technology, installation, maintenance, and customer support across residential, commercial, and industrial renewables projects.

Eqonic Group and Barton Knight Energy have signed a collaboration agreement covering renewable energy and battery storage projects across the UK.

Under the framework, Eqonic will supply battery storage systems, inverters, and technical support, while Barton Knight will provide installation and maintenance services for Eqonic customers. The companies will also identify shared commercial opportunities and grant each other preferred supplier status, while continuing to operate independently.

The agreement gives both businesses a route to deliver projects from technology supply through to installation and long-term service, reducing the handover risk that can occur when battery systems, site work, and aftercare are managed separately. The arrangement covers residential, commercial, and industrial customers, with both companies targeting wider deployment of clean-energy systems.

Battery energy storage is becoming a more prominent part of UK energy infrastructure as renewable generation expands and customers seek more control over energy use, resilience, and demand management. Storage systems are increasingly being installed alongside solar PV, EV charging, and energy management equipment, creating demand for joined-up design, installation, and service capability.

Jas Kandola, CEO of Eqonic Group, said: “This collaboration strengthens Eqonic’s ability to deliver high-performance energy-storage solutions at scale. Barton Knight’s installation expertise complements our technology platform perfectly, enabling us to accelerate deployment and support customers across the UK with a fully integrated offering.”

Operationally, the agreement sets out joint opportunity assessment, transparent communication, regulatory compliance, safety standards, data-protection commitments, performance reviews, and continuous improvement processes. Those requirements give the collaboration a defined delivery structure rather than leaving installation quality, technical support, and customer service to informal coordination.

Barton Knight Energy brings renewables installation capability across solar PV, energy efficiency, EV charging, and battery energy storage systems. Eqonic adds battery technology, inverter supply, and technical support, giving the combined offer a clearer path from product selection to system operation.

Paul Vine, Director of Barton Knight Energy, said: “Eqonic’s innovative battery technologies and cutting-edge Research and Development align with our mission to deliver reliable, future-ready renewable energy systems. Together, we are well positioned to serve the growing demand for sustainable energy solutions and deliver exceptional value to customers.”

The companies said the agreement establishes a long-term framework for shared growth, market expansion, and continued support for their client bases. Its success will depend on consistent project delivery, installation quality, and the ability to scale service coverage as storage becomes a more routine part of UK energy projects.
