Prima Power will present its Platino Linear fibre laser at FEIMEC 2026 in São Paulo on 7 May, using the event to show a compact 2D laser cutting system designed for high-speed sheet metal production. The machine will be displayed at Booth G158.
Platino Linear uses maintenance-free linear motor drives and an open cantilever architecture to deliver high acceleration and cutting dynamics in a smaller footprint. Prima Power says the system’s footprint is up to 22% smaller than comparable machines, making it suitable for fabricators looking to increase output without expanding floor space.
The machine also includes an adaptive laser head with a single focusing lens and process features such as Smart Cut and Gas Mixer Cut. Its synthetic granite frame is intended to improve vibration absorption and thermal stability, while the aluminium carriage structure reduces moving mass and increases rigidity during operation.
Prima says the system is aimed at subcontractors and OEM suppliers working in sectors such as automotive, HVAC, electrical enclosures, and industrial equipment manufacturing. In those environments, reduced footprint, lower maintenance requirements, and energy-efficient fibre laser cutting can make a significant difference to operating cost and space utilisation.
The machine can also be integrated into Prima Power’s wider automation and digital manufacturing environment, allowing users to scale from stand-alone laser cutting into more automated sheet metal production systems. That includes connections to bending, punching, automation, and connected production tools within the same manufacturing ecosystem.
