ProMinent adds remote control to DULCONNEX platform

ProMinent has added desktop remote control to DULCONNEX cloud platform. The new module lets users adjust calibration and setpoints off-site, while role-based permissions, two-factor authentication, and audit trails constrain and record every change. Dashboards, alarms, and reports support compliance and chemical consumption tracking.

ProMinent has expanded its DULCONNEX digital platform with a new Remote Control Module, enabling supported measuring, control, and metering devices to be monitored centrally and adjusted directly from a PC workstation without requiring an engineer to be physically on site.

DULCONNEX is positioned by ProMinent as a web-based IIoT platform for digital fluid management, built to provide location-independent access to system and process data. The Remote Control Module extends that model from visibility into active intervention: device-specific parameters can be changed from the desktop, with ProMinent citing calibration and setpoint adjustments as day-to-day examples.

For operators managing multiple dosing points, or servicing geographically dispersed assets, the practical gain is in reducing travel time and shortening the interval between detection and correction. Remote changes also shift maintenance from scheduled site visits towards exception-based intervention, where a deviation triggers targeted action rather than a routine inspection cycle.

ProMinent has anchored the release around access control and traceability. The module includes role-based user management, allowing access rights to be defined from basic user to administrator. Two-factor authentication is used to harden access, while changes are constrained to approved limits, and actions are automatically documented with timestamp, user name, and status.

That audit trail matters because remote control is only as defensible as its governance. In chemical dosing and water treatment, parameter changes can have direct consequences for compliance, consumption, and process stability, and the ability to show who changed what, when, and within what limits is becoming a baseline expectation rather than a premium feature.

Beyond control, ProMinent positions DULCONNEX as an analysis layer. Dashboards consolidate key figures, alarms flag critical conditions, and user-defined calculations are intended to detect deviations early. Reporting is framed around documentation obligations and chemical consumption tracking, tying the platform directly into compliance workflows rather than treating reporting as an optional add-on.

The wider DULCONNEX ecosystem also includes connectivity components intended to support secure data handling between field devices and the cloud. ProMinent’s DULCONNEX gateway is described as transmitting SSL/TLS-encrypted system data to the DULCONNEX cloud, with device-side communications handled through standard industrial interfaces depending on configuration.
