Danisense, a leader in high-accuracy current sense transducers, has announced the expansion of its DN1000ID product family with the introduction of the DN1000ID-CP02 model. This new addition boasts a significantly increased creepage and clearance distance of 38mm, a notable improvement from the 11mm of the standard DN1000ID version.
The permissible voltage for uninsulated cables has been raised from 1000V to 3200V, addressing the rising system voltages across various applications. These advancements make the device particularly suitable for power measurement and analysis in electric vehicle (EV) chargers, power inverters, and battery energy storage systems.
The DN1000ID-CP02 is also targeted at other demanding applications such as EV test benches, particle accelerators, MRI systems, medical scanners, battery testing and evaluation equipment, and current calibration systems. Its design incorporates a removable isolation insert and a large 40mm aperture, accommodating wide cable terminals.
The transducer measures currents up to 1500A, maintaining continuous measurement of 1000A with a linearity error of less than 1ppm. Additionally, it supports an over-range capability of 1200A RMS for up to 30 minutes.
Leveraging Danisense’s ultra-stable closed-loop fluxgate technology, the DN1000ID-CP02 delivers a low offset of 5ppm and ultra-low drift. It offers best-in-class noise performance, with sub-ppm RMS noise across frequencies up to 10kHz. The device provides high resolution, ensuring precise monitoring and consistent performance. Its compact, rugged design supports easy installation and ensures long-term durability.
