Advantech, the industry leader in Embedded Edge AI and robotics technologies, will use SIDO Lyon 2025 to showcase its latest innovations in embedded edge computing, modular AI systems and much more.

On booth O201 at SIDO Lyon – the flagship event for the convergence of IoT, AI, XR and robotics – Advantech will show visitors the market’s broadest portfolio of high-performance Edge AI computing modules, embedded boards and customisable expansion modules, as well as full-stack Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) platforms and development kits. The company will display scalable solutions that facilitate smart robotics, computer vision and real-time edge analytics, empowering OEMs and developers to build next-generation AIoT applications with flexibility, speed and reliability.

Advantech’s AMR platforms combine industrial-grade hardware, AI-powered software and ROS-compatible development tools to accelerate robotic automation. For example, the Advantech Robotic Suite is a software environment tailored specifically for AMR development. It boasts ROS & ROS2 compatibility for seamless integration; APIs for vehicle control, navigation, SLAM and barcode recognition; AI tools for object detection, sensor fusion and task execution; and supports fleet and container management, localisation and V2V/V2I communication.

The backbone of Advantech’s AMR hardware stack is its AFE-R Series of AMR Controllers, solely designed for autonomous robots and optimised for performance and scalability. With various computing platforms and form factors, the AFE-R series features dedicated I/O, MIPI/GMSL cameras, TVS/ESD protection, ROS utilities, fleet and container management and much more.

While the AFE-R360 supports depth and visible camera solutions for AMR vision, the AFE-R770 integrates IMU sensors and anti-noise solutions from the design stage. Both products provide sensor integrated solutions, ensuring hardware compatibility and offering software application packages to ease sensor integration challenges. The AFE-R360 3.5″ SBC is dedicated to applications that require integration flexibility in space constrained solutions, whereas the AFE-R770 is a ready to use system-level solution. Both systems include multiple LAN and USB 3.2 ports and are equipped with 2 x CAN bus for battery and motor control. Additionally, they offer 4 x RS-232/422/485 ports for robotic sensors and support a wide power input range, making them adaptable to various charging configurations.

Moreover, Advantech will proudly showcase the AFE-R750, an advanced AMR control system powered by NVIDIA® Jetson Orin™ NX / AGX Orin™. Engineered for robotics and real-time GPU-based applications, the AFE-R750 delivers powerful edge inferencing capabilities with up to 275 TOPS AI performance. Its compact, rugged design supports time-synchronized sensor fusion, GMSL camera integration, and rich I/O – making it the ideal solution for Edge AI deployment in demanding environments.

In addition to the AFE-R750 featured at the exhibition, Advantech also offers the AMR-S100 — a robust solution designed to meet the evolving demands of autonomous mobile robot (AMR) applications. The AMR-S100 exemplifies Advantech’s continued innovation in high-performance compute capabilities and seamless integration for sensor-rich environments, enabling efficient and scalable Edge AI operations in industrial and commercial scenarios.

Together, the AFE-R750 and AMR-S100 reflect Advantech’s commitment to advancing intelligent automation with scalable and future-ready AMR control systems.

Advantech will also place particular emphasis on its latest AI rugged computing solutions, developed through its Design and Manufacturing Services (DMS). These solutions are designed to fulfil mission-critical needs and endure harsh environments in a wide variety of sectors. With the focus on industrial-grade computing systems, DMS enables Advantech to offer customers tailored solutions – whether customising standard products or developing entirely new boards and systems from scratch. By providing collaborative design, flexible manufacturing and global support, DMS offers a competitive advantage to every customer.

Visitors to SIDO Lyon 2025 will learn how, in order to meet the growing demands of industrial Edge AI computing, Advantech collaborates with leading hardware, software and application providers to deliver a versatile, open AI platform. This collaborative ecosystem accelerates the deployment of Edge Computing and Edge AI applications, ensuring flexibility, performance and long-term scalability for the AIoT era.

Carole Bahier, Sales Manager Embedded IoT France at Advantech, says: “We are delighted to be returning to SIDO Lyon this year. It offers a unique platform for us to connect with innovation leaders, showcase our latest edge technologies and engage with partners and customers who are driving the digital transformation of industry.”

Carole adds: “Visitors to our stand will see that we showcase practical, real-world AI integration across key sectors such as manufacturing, smart healthcare, retail, robotics and beyond. With the industry’s broadest embedded solutions portfolio and an unmatched ecosystem of technology partners, Advantech is making AI at the edge both scalable and deployable across a wide range of applications.”
