Integrated Power Services (IPS) has completed the acquisition of Québec-based CFM Services, a NETA-certified power systems specialist with expertise in medium- and high-voltage equipment, transformer servicing, and field engineering. The deal closed on 4 September and expands IPS’s presence in Canada’s critical infrastructure market.
Based in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, CFM provides customers across Québec with electrical servicing, thermographic inspections, oil analysis, commissioning, and transformer reconditioning. Its client base spans hydropower, government, utilities, facilities management, and education. IPS said the acquisition would allow it to deliver broader field services, engineering solutions, and remanufacturing capabilities across Eastern Canada.
“CFM is a dynamic NETA-certified field service power company in Québec, delivering comprehensive solutions, with a focus on high and medium voltage systems and reconditioning and refurbishment of transformers,” said Shannon Moses, Executive Vice President & General Manager of IPS’s Power Management Division. “Together with other recent acquisitions in Québec, including MDL Énergie, DUAL-Électrotech, and Surplec, we can provide more comprehensive solutions in engineering, remanufacturing, and field services to our customers in Canada.”

IPS is headquartered in Greenville, South Carolina, and operates the largest independent network of electrical and mechanical service centres in North America, with additional facilities in the United Kingdom and the Caribbean. The company’s Canadian expansion has accelerated in recent years, with acquisitions positioning it as a single-source supplier for transformer services, power management, and field engineering.
By absorbing CFM’s workforce and expertise, IPS strengthens its capabilities in transformer refurbishment and high-voltage system maintenance at a time of rising demand for reliable power infrastructure across the region. The company said the integration would improve efficiency and coverage for industrial, commercial, and utility customers facing increasingly complex operational requirements.
