Emil Otto’s established alcohol-based flux EO-B-016, which can be used in wave, selective and hand soldering processes as well as in dip soldering and for strand tinning, has a solids content of 5%. Further A, B and C versions of the flux are now being launched by the German flux specialist with different solids content.

‘EO-B-016 is a flux of the newest generation. This multiflux was specially developed for selective soldering but is also suitable for other soldering processes. Other versions of this flux now complete the product range,’ explains Markus Geßner, Marketing and Sales Manager at Emil Otto GmbH. Emil Otto is now introducing the fluxes EO-B-016A with 2 % solids, EO-B-016B with 3 % solids and EO-B-016C with 4 % solids.

All EO-B-016 versions are high-efficiency NO CLEAN-fluxes based on alcohol with di-carboxylic acid activator complex and synthetic resin. They can be applied using all standard application methods with the exception of foaming. All fluxes are very versatile and OPS compatible. The general rule of using fluxes as little as possible also applies to this product. The entire range of the EO-B-016 series is available in canisters of 5 and 20 liters. All other packaging sizes are available on request.
