Wall’s is launching into a supermarket meal deal for the first time with two new snack options, as it seeks to add value to the food-to-go category.

The Wall’s Large Sausage Roll will launch in Tesco’s food-to-go fixture nationwide this month. Wall’s relaunched its sausage roll range last year with its tastiest recipe to date, and will also be introducing a brand new pack weight of 100g as part of the meal deal. It’ll offer shoppers a larger, branded format of the popular savoury pastry snack.

Joining the new roll is the Wall’s Scotch Egg, a tasty whole boiled egg encased in pork sausage meat coated in breadcrumbs, which will offer something new for consumers looking for alternative snack options in food-to-go.

Wall’s entry into meal deal snacks builds on the momentum and growth seen by the brand over the past year, with record sales and growth of +43% (source: IRI 52 w/e 29 October 2023) over the latest 52 weeks.

Wall’s Large Sausage Roll (100g) and Wall’s Scotch Egg (113g) is available now.

Jason Manley, brand director at Wall’s Pastry, which is part of The Compleat Food Group, said the ambition at Wall’s is to continue to grow availability and enter more meal occasions.

“We know that category-leading brands can add real value to meal deal offers, giving shoppers the confidence that they are picking up a snack that they know will taste great,” he noted. “As the number one branded sausage roll, and fastest growing brand in chilled savoury pastry, we are well-placed to sit front of store with our delicious snack options. We know our new sausage roll and scotch egg are going to be big hits, and this is just the start of an exciting year for Wall’s in food-to-go.”
