Fortec unveils MED-Line touch monitor for development

FORTEC unveils a new high-end monitor for medical use. The MED-Line 15.6” Touch Monitor integrates seamlessly into ISO 13485 projects, offering vivid Full HD display, intuitive touch interface, and robust design. It is poised to enhance human-machine interaction in next-generation medical devices.

FORTEC Group has launched the MED-Line 15.6” High-End Touch Monitor, designed specifically for medical applications and integration into ISO 13485 medical device development projects. This new platform offers a 15.6-inch Full HD display with 500 cd/m² brightness, ensuring clear visualisation of clinical data. The wide viewing angles are engineered to maintain reliable readability in diverse medical workstation settings.

The monitor is equipped with a 10-point projected capacitive touchscreen, facilitating responsive and intuitive interaction for contemporary touch-based medical interfaces. Its design caters to clinical environments, featuring a sealed IP65 front surface with durable glass, allowing for straightforward cleaning and compliance with stringent hygiene standards.

A standout feature is the integrated system status indicator, a visual LED positioned at the top of the display that provides immediate operational feedback, indicating normal function or system faults. Integration is further streamlined through single-cable connectivity, enabling power, video, and data transmission via one connection. A configurable connectivity box ensures secure, standards-compliant data communication, addressing cybersecurity concerns.

Additional integrated features include light and proximity sensors, optional camera support for telemedicine applications, and NFC authentication, making the platform well-suited for modern connected healthcare systems. These capabilities position the MED-Line display as a versatile human-machine interface platform, supporting next-generation medical device development.
