FANUC puts integrators at factory expo centre

FANUC will showcase partner-led automation at Smart Factory Expo 2026. The robotics specialist will demonstrate welding, sensing, handling, and modular automation systems with Cyan Tec, Cyber-Weld, and Expert Technologies at the NEC.

FANUC UK will use Smart Factory Expo 2026 to showcase robotics applications developed with three system integrator partners on stand F40 at the NEC Birmingham on 3–4 June.

Cyan Tec, Cyber-Weld, and Expert Technologies will demonstrate automation systems spanning collaborative augmented-reality welding, advanced sensing and vision, transfer and handling, and modular production automation. The stand will focus on practical robot integration, with each partner showing how FANUC hardware can be built into production-ready manufacturing systems.

Cyan Tec will present a live technology showcase cell combining FANUC robotic automation with sensing, vision systems, transfer and handling equipment, high-speed drives, grippers, industrial communications, air-gapped security concepts, and PLC and HMI interfaces.

The Leicester-based integrator works across advanced manufacturing sectors including aerospace, automotive, defence, medical devices, and industrial production. Its demonstration will bring commonly used automation building blocks into a compact cell, showing how multiple technologies can be integrated around a single process rather than treated as separate islands of equipment.

Cyber-Weld will showcase its Soldamatic Augmented Reality Welding cell, featuring a FANUC CRX10-iA collaborative robot. The system is designed to help manufacturers build welding capability while reducing material waste and consumable use during training.

By combining virtual welding environments with collaborative robotics, the Soldamatic cell links skills development with practical automation deployment. The approach gives manufacturers a way to train operators, trial process routines, and build familiarity with robotic welding in a safer and more controlled environment.

Expert Technologies will demonstrate Flexcell, a modular automation platform described as a factory in a box. The platform is designed to scale from early-stage prototyping to production without major redesign, and can be applied across manufacturing, assembly, inspection, testing, and material handling.

Oliver Selby, Head of Sales at FANUC UK, said: “FANUC’s integrator network brings together industry expertise from a wide range of sectors, with each valued partner providing tailored automation solutions.”

Selby added: “We’re proud to be able to showcase the solutions of three of these partners at Smart Factory Expo, demonstrating live on our stand how they successfully integrate FANUC robots to drive cost efficiency, optimise production and deliver real value to UK manufacturers.”
