Emerson has expanded its DeltaV edge software portfolio with DeltaV Live Enterprise View, a browser-based application that gives engineering, maintenance, reliability, and leadership teams read-only access to live control system graphics outside the control room. The software renders the same DeltaV Live displays used by operators, without requiring graphics conversion, duplicate engineering, or changes to the control system itself.
The release extends Emerson’s push to make the industrial edge a practical operational layer rather than a separate data project. In many plants, real-time visibility outside the control room still depends on replicated screens, third-party visualisation tools, or manually assembled dashboards that add latency and maintenance overhead. DeltaV Live Enterprise View is intended to remove that duplication by presenting native operator graphics through a standard web browser while preserving clear separation from the live control layer.
Emerson says access is delivered through the DeltaV Edge Environment using unidirectional data flow, allowing live contextualised views of operations to move beyond the control room without opening a path back into the process. For process manufacturers, that means maintenance teams can check plant conditions before intervening, reliability engineers can compare events against live operating context, and site leaders can review current plant status without relying on screenshots or second-hand summaries.
The new application joins a wider DeltaV edge ecosystem that already includes DeltaV Edge Explorer, DeltaV Agent.Connect, and curated third-party tools such as Grafana, Jupyter Notebook, and Node-RED. Together, the portfolio reflects a broader shift in process automation, where the value of the edge increasingly lies in distributing trusted operational context across the enterprise rather than simply extracting more data. DeltaV Live Enterprise View gives Emerson a stronger position in that transition, particularly for operators looking to widen access to plant information without adding another engineering burden.
