Brady Corporation has launched the BradyPrinter i4311, a hybrid industrial label printer that combines benchtop label printing capability with cordless portability.
The new unit sits between Brady’s mobile and benchtop printer ranges, giving industrial teams a wider label format in a portable device. It brings label production closer to production floors, laboratories, facilities, maintenance areas, and job sites where fixed print stations can slow down identification work.
The i4311 can print labels up to 101.60 mm wide, extending portable label printing into applications normally handled by stationary systems. Typical uses include perforated work-in-progress tags, rating plates, larger cable tags, wraps and sleeves, asset labels, component labels, and GHS-compliant chemical labels.
The printer is powered by a swappable battery capable of producing up to 5,000 large labels on a single charge. Batteries can be changed without complex handling and recharged in 3.5 hours, reducing reliance on nearby power outlets or shared print locations.
Connectivity covers mobile, local, and enterprise workflows. Labels can be printed from phones, tablets, and laptops, while integration with central company systems is supported through Brady’s software development kit and ZPL support. The i4311 includes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, alongside ethernet and USB-C connections.
On-device operation is handled through a 7 in touch screen, allowing users to access support, complete stored templates, and print directly from the unit. Brady says the printer can store an average of 85,000 label templates, with fill-in fields completed through the touch interface.
The printer has a footprint of 23 x 23 x 33 cm and weighs 5.9 kg. Brady said customer feedback informed features including the compact footprint, easy-grip handle, battery saver, and battery-swapping process.
The i4311 is compatible with more than 1,300 Brady label parts and includes LabelSense technology, which automatically sets label material burn, size, and pre-print settings when a label roll is loaded. It also works with Brady Express Labels mobile apps, including functions for image-to-text conversion, barcode reading from a phone, and hands-free label printing using BradyVoice.
