Apex adds real-time AI to conveyors

Apex Lubrication is bringing real-time AI into conveyor monitoring operations. The integration connects OmniView with Solace Agent Mesh to support predictive maintenance, automated reporting, and centralised reliability data across manufacturing facilities.

Apex Lubrication LLC is integrating Solace Agent Mesh into its OmniView conveyor intelligence platform, bringing real-time AI-assisted monitoring to conveyor health, lubrication performance, and chain wear across manufacturing sites.

The deployment combines Apex’s conveyor lubrication and monitoring expertise with Mighty Lube’s maintenance systems and Solace’s event-driven data platform. In high-throughput production environments, conveyor reliability remains closely tied to line availability, maintenance scheduling, and the avoidance of unplanned stoppages.

OmniView gives operators a centralised view of chain performance, lubrication health, wear trends, and maintenance priorities. By adding Solace Agent Mesh, Apex and Mighty Lube are extending those insights across operational systems, from local dashboards to maintenance workflows and enterprise platforms.

Real-time alerts will notify maintenance teams when conveyor systems show abnormal wear, lubrication failure, or changing operating conditions. The system also supports on-premises LLM orchestration, allowing AI-driven analysis and decision support to run without cloud connectivity in secure or tightly controlled production environments.

“Our customers have relied on Apex and Mighty Lube to keep their conveyor systems running. With Solace Agent Mesh, we’ve taken the OmniView platform to an entirely new level, delivering intelligence that helps manufacturers make smarter and faster decisions,” said Anthony P. Brown, Founder and Vice-President, Apex Lubrication LLC. “This is the kind of real-time operational visibility that the industry has been moving towards. Maintenance teams gain confidence in the data they’re acting on, and plant operators gain a clearer picture of facility-wide reliability.”

Automated maintenance reporting, trend analysis, and performance metrics will reduce the manual effort involved in turning machine data into operational decisions. Where conveyor systems span multiple production zones or facilities, the value of the platform rests on both the quality of the machine insight and the speed with which it reaches the correct system or team.

“Apex Lubrication has the domain expertise, the hardware, and the machine learning platform; what they needed was a real-time, event-driven solution that could move data intelligently across systems, both in the cloud and on-premises,” said Paul Fitzpatrick, Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer, Solace. “We’re proud to see Apex and Mighty Lube invest their trust in Solace Agent Mesh to power real-time conveyor intelligence for some of the world’s most demanding production environments.”
