Inovance introduces INO AIR wireless servo control

Inovance unveils INO AIR at SPS 2025 in Nuremberg. The industrial automation leader showcased its latest wireless servo control solution, INO AIR, at the Smart Production Solutions event. The technology promises enhanced flexibility and reduced installation costs, reinforcing Inovance’s commitment to cutting-edge automation solutions.

Inovance, a prominent figure in industrial automation, introduced its latest innovation — the INO AIR real-time servo control solution — at the SPS 2025 event in Nuremberg, Germany. This marks the first European unveiling of the technology, which features wireless capabilities designed for advanced industrial automation applications. Located at Hall 3A-466, Inovance’s stand also highlighted the company’s Total Automation Solution, showcasing a comprehensive range of connected industrial technologies.

The INO AIR solution is engineered for cabinetless automation setups, particularly where integrated drive servo motors or motors mounted on rotating parts are used. It boasts microsecond-level synchronisation and over 99.99% reliability, ensuring precise and repeatable performance. The wireless communication bus integrated within the system offers significant flexibility, simplifying installation and diagnostics.

By leveraging INO AIR’s capabilities, companies can significantly reduce total installed costs. The system minimises the need for complex control wiring, cutting down on components and labour. It supports EtherCAT, and has already proven effective in wireless labelling applications, eliminating extensive cabling with a 1 ms bus cycle time over 100 metres and 1 µs jitter.

In addition to INO AIR, Inovance’s stand featured the MD630 AC drive, known for its compact design and versatile communication options, and the SV680N single-axis servo drive with Fail Safe over EtherCAT (FSoE). The demonstration also included the MS1 servo motor with a batteryless encoder and an Inovance articulated robot. Two display walls showcased Inovance’s Total Automation Solutions with PROFINET and EtherCAT connectivity.

Marcus Finkbeiner, Country Leader for Inovance Technology Germany, commented on the success of the event: “We received an excellent response to our Total Automation Solution demonstration at SPS 2025. Our portfolio of connected products continues to grow, serving the European market with a wide range of automation technologies to meet the needs of different industries and applications. INO AIR is the latest upcoming addition to our Total Automation Solution as we plan to continue expanding our range of both wired and wireless solutions to remain at the forefront of technological innovation. Inovance is committed to providing companies across industry with the complete, connected solutions they need to succeed, and our local teams of expert engineers are on hand to help.”

Inovance’s strategic focus on expanding both wired and wireless solutions aligns with the increasing demand for flexible, efficient automation technologies. As the industry evolves, the emphasis on reducing installation costs and enhancing system reliability remains critical for businesses aiming to maintain competitiveness in the global market.
