Minsait – key challenges for utilities in the energy transition

With 45% of energy generation needing to come from renewables by 2030, utilities face significant challenges in shifting to renewable energy.

We hear from Laura Moreno Sánchez, Utilities Manager at Minsait, an Indra Company, who stresses that utilities must forecast long, medium, and short-term impacts on energy distribution resources and make optimal planning for their integration.

The rise in power demand due to data centers, electric vehicles, and the increased electrification of industries puts immense pressure on transmission and distribution systems.

Emerging management models like IoT, digital twins, hyperautomation, and smart meters, along with AI, will provide real-time network intelligence.

The solutions offered by Minsait aim to address the critical requests of utilities automatically and efficiently, enhancing the overall management of energy networks.
