Next year’s Electric & Hybrid Marine Expo North America will take place at the Donald E Stephens Convention Center in Chicago, Illinois, on August 20 & 21, 2025.

Roz Guarnori, portfolio director for Electric & Hybrid Marine Expo, said, “We are excited to be entering a new chapter for the show in the perfect location. Chicago is located on the southwestern shore of Lake Michigan, and its proximity to both the Great Lakes and the St Lawrence Seaway makes it a natural fit for a maritime expo. There has also been significant investment in the industry by regional and national governments.

“The city is home to the Port of Chicago, making it an ideal location for attendees and exhibitors to travel to and from the event. The Donald E Stephens Convention Center is well connected for attendees traveling to the show by air, with Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport just a five-minute drive away. It also has over 8,000 parking spaces and high-quality hotels nearby.”

The move is supported by association partner IEMA, whose president, Adria Jover, stated, “IEMA supports the relocation of Electric & Hybrid Marine Expo North America in Chicago for the 2025 edition, recognizing its pivotal role in showcasing cutting-edge technologies for maritime electrification, decarbonization and low-carbon shipping solutions.

“As the leading event for the North American market, it provides an unparalleled platform to connect innovators, operators and infrastructure leaders, driving progress toward cleaner, more efficient and sustainable marine propulsion systems.”

Johan Winlund, marketing and communication manager at Echandia, which will be exhibiting at Electric & Hybrid Marine North America 2025, said, “We are happy to announce our participation in the Electric & Hybrid Marine Expo in Chicago on August 20 & 21, 2025. After a highly successful showcase in Long Beach, marked by strong engagement, we are excited to build on this momentum in the new show location. It will allow us to continue to highlight our commitment to advancing zero-emission maritime solutions with American-built, FTA-compliant battery systems.”
