Flavorman opens $8.5m production centre for custom beverage development
Flavorman has announced the opening of its new, large-scale production facility in Louisville, Kentucky.
The 28,000-square-foot expansion represents an $8.5 million investment to scale up Flavorman’s state-of-the-art “Beverage Campus” and facilitate its rapid growth in the beverage industry, the custom beverage development company said.
The brand-new production centre, the Scott Reed Production Building, is named after a long-serving Flavorman warehouse manager.
It is strategically designed to enhance the company’s blending, compounding, and quality control capabilities, featuring cutting-edge technology and laboratories. This expansion bolsters Flavorman’s capacity for bulk flavour production and many more of its highly demanded services.
“The new facility represents an exciting leap forward for Flavorman and our clients,” said Scott Weddle, CEO of Flavorman. “With this facility, we’re not just expanding our physical footprint; we’re expanding our ability to innovate and push the boundaries of what’s possible in beverage creation.”
The centre includes enhanced blending equipment, increased production space, and laboratories designed to elevate client services and allow larger production runs. The new space will also expand Flavorman’s bottling/canning capacity and processing and bulk storage operations.
“We are thrilled to embark on this new chapter and look forward to seeing the positive impact this will have on our community and the beverage industry as a whole,” said David Dafoe, founder of Flavorman.
Designed by Frankfort-based G. Scott & Associates (GSA) and contracted by Cardinal Industries, the 28,000-square-foot addition connects to the company’s main laboratory and is anticipated to bring several new jobs to downtown Louisville.
