Trumpf unveils new generation of bending machines

TRUMPF unveils advanced TruBend 3000 at Blechexpo 2025. The new bending machine offers rapid, precise processing capabilities and energy efficiency, drawing on technologies from the TruBend 5000 series. It reduces throughput time by 40 percent, catering to small and medium-sized enterprises facing cost pressures and quality demands.

At Blechexpo 2025, TRUMPF presented the redesigned TruBend 3000 series, showcasing advancements in speed, precision, and energy efficiency. The new model incorporates technologies from the TruBend 5000 series, achieving a 40 percent reduction in throughput time compared to its predecessor. It is engineered to handle 85 percent of components in sheet metal production, with productivity and part accuracy leading the segment.

TRUMPF Product Manager Wolfgang Weingartsberger stated, “With the new TruBend 3000 bending machine, we’re offering users a technologically advanced all-round machine.” The machine provides a press force range of 85 to 230 tonnes and a bending length of two to four meters, addressing the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises.

The machine features the ACB Laser automatic angle measuring system, ensuring high part quality by adjusting the press beam if the bending angle deviates. This reduces scrap and enhances cost efficiency. TRUMPF’s TecZone Bend software further boosts productivity by allowing programming during production, offering intuitive operation even for users without programming experience.

Sustainability is addressed with the speed-controlled “On-Demand Servo Drive,” which activates the motor only during bending, cutting energy consumption by 30 percent compared to hydraulic systems. Additionally, the Bend Guard system ensures operator safety by using cameras and sensors to halt the machine if unintended objects are detected.

The TruBend 3000 is equipped with digital interfaces for integration into smart factories and access to TRUMPF’s digital services, including condition monitoring and remote control. Weingartsberger highlighted that 80 percent of faults can be resolved without on-site technicians, minimizing downtime for users.
