Both partners are currently developing lube oil monitoring, optimization and supply platform that uses the existing capabilities of CSM’s Performance Optimization Control Room (POCR). The developments are being made with the goal of bringing value to end customers.

The partnership is also looking to work on increasing synergies in sustainability in addition to climate innovative technologies. Both companies are to designate existing resources towards the development of alternative propulsion and fuel systems for the marine industry.

“We share with CSM a strong determination to promote the energy transition and we want to capitalize on our respective expertise to accelerate it,” commented Philippe Charleux, SVP, lubricants and specialties marketing and services, TotalEnergies. “This partnership is fully in line with our objective to reduce our carbon emissions and to support our customers on the same path by offering and developing with them innovative solutions.”

“We look forward to working with TotalEnergies on our joint mission to contribute innovative, environmentally friendly and profitable solutions for all parties,” said Mark O’Neil, president and CEO, CSM.

“TotalEnergies’ experience in the renewable energy field is vast and we are very excited about using our extensive knowledge of the maritime sector to complement their endeavors. Efforts to investigate lube oil optimization strategies, renewable technologies and opportunities highlights both TotalEnergies’ and CSM’s commitment to creating long-lasting and cost-effective renewable technology solutions on the world stage.”
