TFE and Aismalibar North America Join the Printed Circuit Board Association of America, Strengthening U.S. Microelectronics Supply Chain

TFE and its partner, Aismalibar North America, are proud to announce their membership in the Printed Circuit Board Association of America (PCBAA), an organization advocating for the critical role of the domestic printed circuit board (PCB) and substrate industries within the U.S. microelectronics supply chain. This membership aligns with TFE and Aismalibar’s commitment to enhancing American PCB manufacturing, innovation, and national security.

Over the last two decades, U.S. PCB production has decreased from 26% to only 4% of the global market, leaving the country reliant on foreign supply chains. PCBAA’s mission is to address this imbalance by promoting the development of a resilient, domestic supply chain for microelectronics, ensuring the technology stack supporting semiconductors is produced on American soil.

“Joining the PCBAA demonstrates our commitment to revitalizing the American PCB industry,” said Jeff Brandman, Owner of TFE and President of Aismalibar North America. “We are proud to stand with this organization and work toward securing a robust domestic supply chain for microelectronics, which is crucial for both economic and national security.”

Aismalibar, based in Barcelona, Spain, has a longstanding reputation as a global leader in thermal management technology for PCBs, with its innovative Copper and Metal Clad Laminates and Thermal Interface Materials playing a critical role in ensuring product reliability. Their expertise in heat extraction for electronic systems supports the drive for advanced, efficient, and sustainable solutions for industries ranging from telecommunications and automotive to renewable energy and aerospace.

PCBAA Executive Director, David Schild, added, “We are thrilled to welcome TFE and Aismalibar North America as members. Having them on our team helps us advocate for policies and legislation, such as the PCBS Act, that will strengthen America’s position in the global microelectronics industry.”

As members of the PCBAA, TFE and Aismalibar North America will work alongside key industry stakeholders to champion policies that foster innovation, talent development, and investment in American PCB manufacturing, and support the enactment of the PCBS Act – a necessary follow-up to the CHIPS Act – aimed at securing the entire domestic microelectronics supply chain.
