Pack Expo 2023: Bartelt to show the future of packaging

The future of packaging is alive and will shine brightly on Bartelt this month in Las Vegas.

Bartelt, a ProMach brand, is exhibiting two state-of-the-art horizontal form fill seal (HFFS) machines: the MAG Series Poucher and the FLtècnics FL 1.7, in booth C-2833 at Pack Expo 2023, September 11-13, at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas.

Bartelt  manufactures solutions for pouching, cartooning, shrink wrapping, case packing, and tray packing systems for numerous industries including food and confectionery, beverage, home and personal care, and others.

The MAG Series Poucher is a HFFS machine that utilises the latest magnetic linear technology. The machine is engineered for flexibility, reliability, and rapid changeover times. Achieving the level of flexibility customers look for in their packaging machinery is based on an independent controlled double pouch clamp system that uses magnetic linear motion control.

Applications for the MAG Series Poucher include both simplex and duplex configurations with speeds up to 150 ppm. Other features include stainless steel open frame design for easy cleaning, servo-controlled systems, and “no open pouch – no fill” safeguards.

Bartelt is the master distributor of FLtècnics and its FL 1.7 HFFS. Thanks to the machine’s modular design, users can run multiple pouch styles in simplex or duplex versions with different package sizes, which results in a highly versatile and flexible solution.

In addition to the standard features, the FLtècnics 1.7 offers several customisable options including zipper and spout applicators, multiple filling stations, and solid filling systems for powders, granules, and pieces to help users develop the ultimate machine for their packaging line.

In addition, Pack Expo attendees can see the Next Generation Kayat SRX Series single roll bundling system that has expanded capabilities to now shrink wrap loose products. The Kayat SRX Series is a collaboration between Bartelt and fellow ProMach brand Texwrap.

This expanded capability of shrink bundling loose products is a popular packaging style with beverages manufacturers and retailers alike. This addition means the SRX Series can effectively shrink wrap either products positioned in trays or loose or bulk products. Twelve or 24-packs of specialty and other beverages, as well as cans or jars of food that are shrink bundled together without a tray are examples of loose products that can be packaged with the Kayat SRX Series.

At the show, attendees will see the Kayat SRX Series place loose products arriving on a conveyor into specific patterns based on quantities and then shrink wrap those products.
