Oumph! expands into Sainsbury’s with new finger lickin’ fakeaway favourite

Following the incredible success of its recent UK launch, international vegan food brand, Oumph!, has introduced Spicy Drums, a delicious plant-based alternative to meaty drumsticks, into Sainsbury’s stores in June.

Now available in 408 Sainsbury’s supermarkets across the country, the new spicy snack is turning the heat up on the plant-based frozen aisle, and is ideal for barbeques in the sunshine, sharing over sport or spicing up summer picnics.

The new product promises to pack a flavourful punch with every mouthful, and is suitable for air frying, shallow frying or oven cooking, depending on the desired level of crispiness.

A versatile, high protein soya-based snack that is low in saturated fat, Spicy Drums have a delicious crunchy coating that delivers a spicy kick, to get even the most adventurous taste buds tingling.

A perfect addition to any summer table, the drumsticks are ideal for dipping and dunking in a variety of sauces. Enjoy them smothered in vegan mayo, BBQ, or sweet chili sauce, or paired with sriracha, buffalo or hot sauce for an extra spicy bite.

Snack fans will be able to find Spicy Drums in the frozen aisles of Sainsbury’s stores nationwide from Sunday 26 June, priced at £3.50 for a 270g box. Anders ‘Ankan’ Linden, co-founder, corporate chef, and head of innovation at Oumph!, said:
