Jointly hosted by GTMA and BPF, we are delighted to see the return of Meet the Toolmakers – October 21st, 2021 MTC Coventry

Meet the Toolmakers is typically an annual event, organised by the Gauge and Toolmakers Association (GTMA) and the British Plastics Federation (BPF). It brings UK plastics moulders face-to-face with tool making specialists in a day designed to help these co-dependent businesses connect. This will be the first time this event has been hosted since 2018 due to the worldwide pandemic and restrictions enforced during the last 12 months.

There will be the opportunity for visitors and exhibitors to watch guest speakers in the auditorium presenting on an array of supply chain subjects, including a key speech from headline sponsors Eschmann Textures.

Towards the latter part of the day, tours of both the MTC and FANUC will be offered to delegates.

According to Julia Moore, CEO, GTMA:

‘’The quality of visitors attending shows that the OEM and Tier 1s see the event as a focal point for toolmaking technologies and engineering solutions. This GTMA / BPF collaboration has always been a great success and we hope to continue for the foreseeable future with this annual event.’’

BPF Membership Services Director Stephen Hunt adds:“We have been organising this event jointly with the GTMA since 2014 and year on year it has grown bigger and more successful.  The last event attracted over 250 attendees, and we are hoping that this one will be even bigger.  Meet The Toolmakers was born from a clear demand for more onshoring of tools from UK-based injection moulders and with nearly 30 toolmakers already confirmed to exhibit there will be plenty of companies for our members to meet and discuss future projects.”

Meet the Toolmakers takes place 21 October at the Manufacturing Technology Centre in Coventry.
