Impulse Embedded releases Neousys SEMIL-2200GC AI platform

Impulse Embedded unveils rugged AI platform for harsh environments. The Neousys SEMIL-2200GC Series delivers high-performance AI and extreme durability, meeting the demands of defence, security, and industrial applications. Equipped with NVIDIA L4 Tensor Core GPU, it offers real-time intelligence in the toughest conditions.

Impulse Embedded Ltd has introduced the Neousys SEMIL-2200GC Series, an edge AI platform engineered for defence, security, and industrial sectors requiring swift, reliable intelligence in challenging environments. This system is tailored for modern defence operations that necessitate immediate, accurate intelligence at the edge — such as real-time situational awareness and object recognition — demanding decisions in seconds.

The SEMIL-2200GC is powered by the NVIDIA L4 Tensor Core GPU, a cutting-edge accelerator facilitating deep-learning inference and vision analytics in the field. Combined with Core processors, it ensures efficient, high-throughput computing. This is ideal for edge-deployed systems tasked with processing substantial sensor data locally, thus enabling faster threat detection, autonomous navigation, and sensor fusion without reliance on remote data centres.

Compliant with MIL-STD-461G and MIL-STD-810H standards, the SEMIL-2200 Series merges compliance with robust engineering for mission-critical tasks. Its thermally efficient design and fully sealed stainless-steel housing endure continuous shock, vibration, humidity, and electromagnetic interference. The IP69K-rated enclosure offers complete protection against dust, high-pressure water ingress, and corrosive environments, ensuring uninterrupted operation.

Stuart Martin, Business Development Manager at Impulse Embedded, stated, “Our defence and industrial customers are being asked to do more at the edge, under tougher conditions, with less time to react. By combining the NVIDIA L4 Tensor Core GPU with true military-grade ruggedisation, the Neousys SEMIL-2200GC enables real-time AI where it’s needed most: on the front line, in vehicles, and in remote infrastructure.”

The SEMIL-2200GC is optimised for in-vehicle use, supporting a wide-range DC power input (9V to 36V), ignition control, and compliance with MIL-STD-1275D power requirements. Its fanless thermal design ensures silent, maintenance-free operation, even under heavy GPU loads, while M12 connectors and optional 10GbE networking provide secure, vibration-resistant connectivity for high-bandwidth sensor and camera systems.

Beyond vehicle deployments, the SEMIL-2200GC is equally reliable in fixed or remote installations, including naval vessels, coastal surveillance stations, airfield operations, and defence infrastructure. These systems must withstand exposure to water, dust, and corrosive elements, testing every component to its limit. The rugged design is also well-suited for industrial, mining, and energy applications, bringing real-time AI processing to outdoor and hazardous environments.

Neousys technology can be deployed confidently across defence, security, and industrial AI applications, offering enduring reliability and performance. For more information visit: www.impulse-embedded.co.uk
