Energys to integrate its hydrogen fuel cell systems into Shiptec’s vessel designs
Hydrogen technology company Energys and Swiss shipbuilding company Shiptec have partnered to integrate Energys’ hydrogen fuel cell systems into Shiptec’s vessel designs and shipbuilding projects.

Energys’ proprietary hydrogen marine fuel cell systems are designed to replace traditional fossil fuel engines, offering a sustainable and efficient alternative that produces only distilled water vapor as emissions.
Shiptec plans to work closely with Energys to incorporate hydrogen fuel cells into new vessel designs, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. The partnership will focus on the integration of hydrogen fuel cells with existing and new ship systems, providing a comprehensive solution that meets all operational requirements.
So far, this partnership has reportedly received Approval in Principle (AiP) from classification societies for various kilowatt-range zero-emission fuel cell powerplants integrated into Shiptec vessel designs.
