DISTRON CORPORATION Expands Manufacturing Campus with Third Facility to Support Box Build Growth

In response to continued growth and rising demand for box build services, DISTRON CORPORATION, a leading U.S.-based electronics contract manufacturer, has expanded into a third building just next door to its main facility in the North Attleboro Industrial Park. This milestone marks the next chapter in DISTRON’s evolution, forming a closely connected, three-building manufacturing campus that reflects both business momentum and enhanced service capacity.

The new 56,000 sq. ft. facility—less than a quarter mile from DISTRON’s original location—adds critical space for box build assembly, mechanical engineering, warehousing, and fulfillment operations. As DISTRON’s primary building reached capacity, this expansion enables the company to increase throughput, streamline production, and support a broader range of customer needs.

“This expansion is about more than just floor space—it’s about being ready for what’s next,” said Rob Donovan, CEO of DISTRON CORPORATION. “Our new building strengthens our ability to scale with our customers while preserving the responsiveness and reliability we’ve built our reputation on.”

Founded in 1970 by Bob Donovan and now led by his son, Rob Donovan, DISTRON has grown from one of New England’s first contract manufacturers into a trusted partner for OEMs in defense, medical, clean tech, lighting, and industrial electronics. The company offers services ranging from surface mount assembly and testing to product warehousing, engineering support, and turnkey box build solutions.

By expanding to a three-building campus, DISTRON enhances its ability to deliver complete manufacturing solutions—all from one centralized location in North Attleboro. Each facility within the campus is tailored to a specific function, allowing for highly efficient, specialized workflows across the production process.

“When we say ‘campus,’ we’re signaling the scale and integration of our operations,” added Donovan. “This growth gives us the space and flexibility to take on more complex builds, faster timelines, and larger programs—while still making every customer feel like our top priority.”

As a locally owned business with deep roots in New England, DISTRON manufactures all of its products in the U.S., offering customers the benefits of stringent quality control, faster turnaround, and direct collaboration.
