Dawn Foods introduces Delicream to meet indulgence trend

Dawn Foods launches new Delicream White Chocolate filling. This ready-to-use filling aims to meet the rising consumer demand for luxurious textures and flavours. It offers a versatile solution for professional kitchens, featuring a water-free formulation for extended shelf life, and aligns with trends for natural ingredients and aesthetic appeal.

Dawn Foods has expanded its premium bakery ingredients portfolio with the introduction of Delicream White Chocolate, a ready-to-use filling designed to meet the increasing consumer demand for luxury textures and flavours. This product extends the Delicream range, which already includes Coconut and Bueno flavours, and is crafted as a versatile solution for professional kitchens.

The filling is designed for immediate use from the pail, offering a smooth texture and intensely creamy profile. Dawn Foods states that the formulation is highly adaptable, suitable for both cold and heated applications. Cold, it is ideal for injecting into doughnuts and pastries. When heated, it achieves a thinner consistency, making it suitable for dipping or coating finer bakery items.

A notable technical advantage of this new filling is its water-free formulation. This characteristic ensures a longer shelf life for finished products compared to standard water-based fillings, thereby reducing potential waste for bakery operators. The launch coincides with the enduring popularity of white chocolate, prized for its ability to complement a wide range of ingredients.

Dawn Foods highlights the aesthetic potential of the ingredient, noting that white chocolate offers a striking visual contrast when paired with colorful ingredients such as red fruits, pistachio, or dark chocolate. This visual appeal is particularly significant in an era where visually appealing food drives sales, especially on social media platforms.

“The new White Chocolate Delicream has been developed to help bakers ‘premiumise’ everyday bakery items and capitalise on the ‘elevated indulgence’ trend currently in the sweet category,” explains Jacqui Passmore, marketing lead West EU & AMEAP at Dawn Foods. In line with the industry shift towards transparency and healthier ingredients, the Delicream White Chocolate filling is crafted using only natural flavours and non-hydrogenated fats.

Now available for bakers and pastry chefs across the UK and Ireland, the product is set to influence the market by aligning with consumer preferences for premium, visually appealing, and natural ingredient-based bakery items.
