Circuit Technology Training Inc. (CTTI), a leading IPC training group, is excited to announce the launch of its new Introduction to X-ray Inspection course. This three-hour class is designed to give students a clear understanding of X-ray inspection technology and its critical role in electronics manufacturing.

The course covers X-ray fundamentals, system operation, and common defect types, providing a practical foundation for engineers, quality personnel, production staff, and x-ray operators. Students will explore topics including 2D vs. 3D imaging, resolution and magnification, x-ray viewing angles, and key void characteristics for components such as BGAs, LGAs, gull wings, and through-hole joints.

“X-ray inspection is an essential part of modern electronics manufacturing, and this course is designed to demystify the process,” said Bob Doetzer, President of Circuit Technology Training Inc. “Participants will gain the knowledge they need to confidently interpret x-ray results, identify common defects, and use this information to improve overall quality and yield.”

The class is available in multiple formats, including at CTTI’s training centers, on-site at customer facilities, or virtually for remote teams. Class size is limited to 15 students to ensure an interactive, hands-on learning experience.

CTTI has training locations across the United States, Mexico, and Costa Rica, making the course accessible to manufacturers throughout North America.
