Cadent Gas to use data quality tools to bolster distribution operations

Cadent Gas, the UK’s largest gas distribution network, has announced that it will be making use of data quality tools to generate insights into, and bolster quality across, its business operations and assets.

Through a partnership with Everis, an NTT DATA company and digital, data and technology services provider, the British gas company will using data quality tools from Informatica, an NTT DATA Alliance Partner.

Cadent Gas currently manages what they describe as huge volumes of historic data, so the initial focus of this project will be to look at asset data to improve quality and enhance the insights generated across its operations.

This agreement is the first project between Everis and Cadent Gas, and according to Everis, reaffirms NTT DATA’s capabilities as a partner in energy data management, a key area of focus for energy regulator Ofgem.

The improved quality of asset data and insights will help Cadent Gas to better manage its operations, reduce costs and improve decision-making processes.
