Battery Cooling Calorimetric Simulation

Latest developments bring a new calorimetric test rig system, to aid the test and development of thermal management in battery, motor and inverter systems for hybrid and EV cooling systems. It comes in the form of a range of modular controlled heat sources bonded onto a test plate to provide replicated battery heat dissipation under various heat loads in a safe and controlled manner. The heat generators are available in a range of sizes and power densities whilst providing a battery heat simulation in a safe and realistic test environment. The latest testing blocks fully incorporate into the existing calorimetric heat exchanger test facility for full system thermal management testing and specific thermal efficiency characterisation of cooler plates and cores.
