Altus Demonstrates its Latest Equipment for the First Time at the Manufacturing & Supply Chain Exhibition

Stand Q10

Altus Group, a leading distributor of capital equipment for the electronics industry, will be introducing several new portfolio additions to the Irish region for the first time when the company visit the National Manufacturing & Supply Chain Exhibition in Dublin from 23 -24 November 2021.

With a long-term strategy for growth, Altus is focusing its efforts on the Irish territory by increasing its presence in the area and investing in new staff to support the region. The National Manufacturing & Supply Chain Exhibition is the first show in Ireland for some time and a good kick start to Altus’ ambition to increase its customer base and leverage the portfolio of capital equipment at a local level.

Joe Booth, Altus CEO said: ‘’I am delighted that we will be exhibiting in Dublin and showing off some of our latest and cutting edge hardware. The region has always been very kind to us with business and Covid has made us realise that we had to step up our local presence in the region to make the most of our terrific existing partners and maximise the new business opportunities.

“We have a brilliant range of production equipment, from the very best suppliers you can choose, and so with our new local infrastructure I see no reason why we can’t replicate being the go-to partner like we are for so many in the UK.’’

Altus will be presenting a number of products including the cutting-edge Koh Young Zenith Alpha HS+. This is the first time the 3D AOI solution has been exhibited to visitors in Ireland and will be the star of the stand.

Powered by AI-enhanced high-speed 3D measurement capabilities, the platform is suitable for demanding production lines and greatly improves process yields. Zenith Alpha HS+ removes the need for manual inspection and incorporates innovative capabilities including high height inspection and a low level of false calls.

Another highlight on the stand will be the YJ Link YLM series Laser Marking solution. The machine integrates many features including fiducial recognition and internal flipper to achieve a 20% cost saving. There is also a keymark camera helping to prevent the wrong PCB coming in and barcode verification and grading functionality as a key method to ensure consistent quality of marking performance. Importantly, the Y Series has a fast cycle time helping manufacturers to meet high production targets.

“The exhibition allows us to demonstrate a number of machines to a core audience, and gives our experienced team the opportunity to meet with new customers and assist them in selecting the right products to match their unique requirements. Our technical experts will provide guidance to customers as they determine the formulation that will deliver the best results,” concluded Joe.
