Allient targets AGV and AMR drives

Allient is taking integrated AGV and AMR drives to Stuttgart. The LogiMAT showcase centres on compact wheel-drive architectures for mobile robots.

Allient is taking a sharper intralogistics focus to LogiMAT 2026, where it plans to show a new generation of drive systems aimed squarely at AGVs and AMRs.

The company’s emphasis is on compact, integrated architectures: motors and gearboxes built for wheel-hub integration, direct motor mounting, and tighter vehicle packaging. That matters because mobile robot designers are still juggling the same constraints — space, battery efficiency, torque density, thermal behaviour, and serviceability — while being asked to deliver higher payloads and smoother operation in ever more varied warehouse and factory environments.

Allient said the range on show will include AGV and AMR wheel drives built around its KinetiMax high-power-density motor family, alongside HeiMotion and HeitronX products intended to support more modular vehicle design. The company’s own motion-control portfolio already spans industrial automation and vehicle applications, and its product literature makes clear that outer-rotor, low-cogging motor designs are central to the pitch for robotic and AGV platforms where smooth torque delivery and packaging efficiency are critical.

Helmut Pirthauer, Vice President and Group President at Allient, said the systems are intended to deliver “high performance, compact design, and seamless integration for AGVs and AMRs”.

The timing is well judged. LogiMAT has made robotics and internal pallet transport a central theme for its 2026 event, with Hall 8 in particular expected to carry a heavy concentration of AGV and AMR launches. In that setting, motors and gearboxes are not background components; they are part of the mechanical architecture that determines how efficiently a robot can be packaged, powered, maintained, and scaled.

Allient will show the range at Stand 8F02 in Hall 8 during LogiMAT 2026. More detail on the motor portfolio is available here.
